Lifting Capacity and Container Weight
The lifting capacity of a Franna crane varies by model, but they are generally capable of handling the weight of a standard shipping container.
- Common Models: Franna cranes typically have a lifting capacity ranging from 10 to 40 tonnes. Our Franna is below but we do have a access to a variety of other options.
- AT20: Can lift up to 20 tonnes.
- Container Weight: :
- Its tare (empty) weight is approximately 3,780 kg.
- The maximum gross weight, including cargo, can reach 30,480 kg.
This means that for lifting an empty or lightly loaded 40-foot container, a Franna model like our AT20 is more than sufficient. For a fully loaded container, a larger 40T model would be necessary to handle the weight safely.
Here at Crane2U our AT20 is our go to crane due to it’s versatility, mobility and pick and carry capability, having no trouble with your empty 40 footers. Container full of bricks you say? We have access to a variety of other cranes that can get your heavy lifting sorted. Don’t hesitate to contact us 🙂
