4-Axle All Terrain Crane Hire Melbourne
70T, 80T, 90T, 100T & 120T Cranes for Heavy, High-Reach and Complex Lifts
Crane2U provides 4-axle all terrain crane hire across Melbourne and Regional Victoria for construction, structural steel, precast, industrial plant, rooftop equipment, energy infrastructure and other lifts requiring strong capacity with long boom reach. The 4-axle range includes 70T, 80T, 90T, 100T and 120T options, allowing the crane to be matched to the actual load, working radius, hook height, access and site conditions.
A tonne rating alone does not determine whether a crane can complete a lift. Send the load weight and dimensions, pick and landing points, approximate radius, required height, access details and site photos or drawings so Crane2U can check the relevant load chart and recommend a suitable crane and supporting crew.

Get Answers to Your Crane Hire Questions
Find answers to common questions about our crane hire services, equipment, operators, and project support.
What does 4 axle all terrain crane hire cost in Melbourne?
Higher than the mid-sized classes because counterweight transport, extra crew, and longer setup all factor in. Duration and travel distance matter too. We itemize every component so you can see exactly where the figure comes from. Call 0457 000 637.
How much space does a four-axle crane need?
Considerably more than a three-axle unit. Outriggers spread wide, counterweight trucks need access and turning room, and firm ground is essential throughout. We assess the setup area before confirming any booking.
How long does setup take?
Longer than the smaller machines, since the counterweight has to be assembled after the crane is positioned and leveled, allow additional time in your program, and we will give you a realistic figure when quoting.
Will my site require a documented lift study?
Usually yes at this size. Most principal contractors require documented ground pressures and rigging design for four-axle work, and many sites need it regardless. We prepare studies in-house.
Can it lift onto a multi-story building?
That is a core part of what this class does. Boom length and configuration allow plant, steel and precast to be placed on upper floors and rooftops, provided we can position the crane clear of services.
Is an operator supplied?
Yes, wet hire only. Machines this size are never dry hired. Riggers, dogmen and spotters are quoted separately according to the complexity of your lift.
Which areas do you service?
Metro Melbourne includes Maidstone, Werribee and Caroline Springs, plus Geelong, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Ballarat and Western Victoria. Regional and interstate work arranged on request.
How far ahead should I book?
Give us as much notice as possible. Counterweight transport, permits and crew all need coordinating, so several days lead time helps considerably. Urgent jobs are still worth calling about.
