5-Axle All Terrain Crane Hire Melbourne
150T, 230T & 250T Cranes for Heavy, Long-Reach and Complex Lifting
Crane2U provides 5-axle all terrain crane hire across Melbourne and Regional Victoria for heavy construction, structural steel, precast, industrial plant, rooftop equipment, energy infrastructure, civil works and other projects that require high lifting capacity, long boom reach and planned crane setup. The 5-axle range includes 150T, 230T and 250T Liebherr all terrain cranes, allowing the crane to be matched to the actual load, working radius, hook height, access, ground conditions and project constraints.
A crane’s nominal tonne rating is not the capacity available at every radius. For heavy lifts, send the load weight and dimensions, pick and set positions, approximate working radius, required hook height, access route, setup area, ground information and site drawings or photos. Crane2U can then review the relevant load chart and coordinate the crane, crew and supporting services required for the project.

What is a 5-axle all terrain crane?
A 5-axle all terrain crane is a road-mobile telescopic crane supported on outriggers for lifting. Five-axle machines provide higher capacity and reach than smaller axle classes, but the correct crane still depends on the actual load chart and site conditions.
Which 5-axle crane do I need: 150T, 230T or 250T?
The choice depends on load weight, working radius, hook height, boom or jib requirement, counterweight, outrigger setup, access, ground conditions and surrounding obstructions. Crane2U can compare the lift against the relevant model data.
Does a 250T crane lift 250 tonnes at any radius?
Allow substantially longer than any other machine in the fleet. Counterweight assembly alone takes time, and boom configuration adds more. We provide a realistic schedule during the quoting stage.
Do heavy lifts need engineered lift planning?
Many heavy, complex or site-sensitive lifts require documented planning, engineering input or principal-contractor approval. The exact documentation should be confirmed from the project scope rather than assumed from crane size alone.
Can Crane2U provide riggers, dogmen, spotters and transport support?
Supporting personnel, engineered lift planning, transport and traffic-management services can be coordinated where required by the lift and site scope.
Do you provide 5-axle crane hire outside Melbourne?
Crane2U services Melbourne and Regional Victoria, including Western Victoria locations. Heavy crane mobilisation is assessed from the actual project location and requirements.
