The GF30 is a 3-tonne battery-powered pick and carry crane that lifts a load and drives it to where it needs to go. It is pedestrian-operated, controlled by radio remote, and small enough to work inside factories, workshops and plant rooms where no other crane fits.
It is not a Franna. Where a Franna is a road-going machine built for open sites, the GF30 is an industrial machine built for indoor and congested environments, and the two do completely different jobs.

MMost cranes stand still and reach, but a pick and carry crane travels with the load, removing the need to position a crane close enough to reach both ends of the move. Inside factories and occupied buildings, it works without outriggers or a large slewing area, while remote operation lets the operator monitor clearances along the route. Its 180-degree rear hydraulic steering allows it to turn within its own length and move through narrow aisles or around fixed plant. 3.0 tonnes at 0.5 meters radius, with maximum lifting height of 6.8 meters. Capacity reduces as the boom extends, so the working figure depends on how far the load sits from the machine.
Is the GF30 a Franna?
No. Franna cranes are road-going articulated machines with capacities from around 10 to 25 tonnes, driven from a cab and used on open sites. The GF30 is a compact electric industrial crane operated on foot with a remote. Different machines for different jobs.
Can the GF30 be used indoors?
Yes, that is its primary purpose. Battery power means no exhaust emissions and low noise, so it works inside factories, workshops, food facilities, power plants, and data centers without ventilation concerns.
Does it need outriggers?
No. The machine lifts and travels without deploying stabilizers, which is what allows it to work in aisles, doorways, and spaces where a conventional crane could never set up.
GF30 or a mini crawler crane?
Radius decides it. The GF30 carries heavy loads over distance with the load close to the machine. A mini crawler crane holds capacity further out and lifts to greater height. If your load has to go up and out, the crawler is the machine.
Why not just use a forklift?
Forklifts lift on forks from underneath, which suits pallets rather than machinery, and they need clear headroom for the mast. The GF30 lifts on a hook, which allows slinging, precise placement, and work under low ceilings that a mast cannot clear.
Is an operator included?
Yes. The machine is supplied with a licensed operator as standard, because load chart interpretation and maneuvering in confined industrial spaces carry real risk.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on load weight, travel distance, and how continuously the machine works. We confirm expected runtime for your job and arrange charging access on site so work is not interrupted.

The machine travels on a float from our depot at 25 Rowsley Station Rd, Maddingley VIC 3340, directly on the Western Freeway. Industrial hires usually run across an installation or shutdown window rather than a single day, so transport applies once, and the machine stays available for the duration. Maidstone still holds a substantial stock of light industrial and manufacturing premises, many of them being refitted or repurposed.
