Step-by-Step Pool Installation with the Franna AT20.

This outlines the crucial phase where the crane is used to set the pool shell:

  1. Preparation and Excavation: Starting with thorough planning, securing all necessary permits for the residential pool installation. The site is excavated, and the pool cavity is prepared with a compacted, level base (often using sand or crusher dust).
  2. Delivery and Crane Setup: The pool shell is transported to the site, typically arriving on a flat-top transport truck. The Franna AT20, renowned for its manoeuvrability and quick setup (as a non-slewing crane), is positioned strategically to ensure optimum access to the excavation site.
  3. Lifting and Pick & Carry Operation: A certified crane operator and rigging crew (Dogman/Rigger) securely attach the heavy pool shell to the 20T Franna’s hook block. The crane then performs its signature pick and carry function, lifting the load and taxiing the shell with precision into the backyard area.
  4. Precision Final Placement: The operator utilizes the crane’s controls to carefully lower and guide the pool shell. Ground crews use guide ropes to achieve exact stabilization and precise placement of the shell into the excavated hole.
  5. Levelling and Backfilling: Once positioned, the pool is checked for final alignment and levels. The crucial last step involves synchronizing the water filling of the pool with the application of backfill material (sand or crusher dust) to balance internal and external pressures, ensuring the structural integrity of the shell.

For reliable pool lifts and projects with limited site access, hiring a Franna AT20 ensures speed, safety, and operational excellence.
